The iPhone 3GS must be about the sexiest gift you could find in a stocking. With that lovely touch-screen interface and enough smarts to make you forget to use it as a phone, Santa is going to have trouble letting go. Store your entire music collection, download whole films from iTunes to watch, capture and edit video, browse the web, find your way using GPS navigation .... And that's even before you start downloading those glorious time-wasting apps. Those who are keen to send messages on their handset would love a Nokia N97, which has a QWERTY keyboard and 3.5in touch screen for viewing web pages, road maps and video.Of course, as I already have a mobile, I could live with the iPod touch, the sizzling multimedia player that has many of the same features as the iPhone. You can dock both those Apple devices with the SoundDock Series II speaker system from Bose to really enjoy listening to your music collection (and charge them at the same time). When it comes to shooting videos, it would be hearty to unwrap a Canon Legria HFS11. This beauty stores up to 64GB worth of high-definition images on its built-in flash memory and comes with a 10x optical zoom and image stabilisation to compensate for shaky hands. When it comes to capturing digital snaps, the Canon Powershot SX20IS digital camera is all you need. With 12.1-megapixel resolution, its images have enough detail to produce a A2-size print of the entire family. The 20x optical zoom means you can capture all the action at sporting events and concerts from a distance. The Olympus Mju Tough 8000 is more a robust option for the adventurous. It also takes 12-megapixel shots but is shock proof up to 2m and water proof to a depth of 10m as well.
